Yes, we are creating this blog and making posts before we have told you the big news but don't worry. You will be the first to see it on the day that we announce it to you guys. After that, we will share it with family and friends. We just want to use this as a way to keep track of all of the important appointments, milestones, and events that occur along this pregnancy journey.
We are scheduled to have our first ultrasound on Valentine's Day, which is next Monday. I couldn't think of a better way to spend Valentine's Day! :) I have been impatiently counting down the days until then. I don't think the whole being pregnant thing has really hit either of us yet. Therefore, I am anxious to get a chance to see the baby for the first time. I think that is when it will really feel real.
We didn't want to tell you guys until after the first ultrasound because we wanted to be a little bit farther along and be able to show you an actual picture of your little peanut of a grandchild that is growing!! Also, we didn't want to tell you over the phone. It has been very hard to not just blurt it out on the telephone so our conversations have been limited more than usual so we were not tempted to blab!
So the reason for the random visit to Greenville in the middle of February?
We wanted to tell you that you're going to be grandparents come October :)
