Hot Potato! Hot Potato!

Wondering why the title of this blog post is Hot Potato? I feel like that is what "Peanut" is playing inside of me. He is officially on the move and hasn't stopped since.  There is nothing cooler to me than being able to feel him wiggle, kick, and hiccup inside of me! :)

Well, I feel like it has been forever since I have updated.  My mom and mother-in-law both pointed out that I never officially announced what we were having on here.   So for those of you that don't know.....

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!

I have been feeling great.  Ralph and I just got back late Friday from a "Babymoon" to Chicago.  We wanted to take one last trip before the baby comes.  It was absolutely fantastic!  There's nothing better than getting to spend an entire week with just my husband.  He keeps such a busy schedule with grad school that it was just refreshing to be able to walk and talk all day.  I would not trade the time that we had together in Chicago for anything in the world.
The picture above is one of many pictures that we took in Chicago.  This is at Millennium Park.

Today, I had another doctor's appointment.  They weighed me, checked my blood pressure, felt my uterus to make sure it was growing at the right pace, and listened to "Peanut's" heartbeat.  My doctor said that everything looked and sounded great.  I will go back at the end of July which is when I will take my glucose test for diabetes.  I am not super excited about this appointment as I have to drink the super sweet orange drink beforehand.  She warned me that it doesn't taste good so I'm already dreading it.  The things I do to keep "Peanut" healthy!!! :)  At my next appointment, I will have started my third trimester and will begin to go to the doctor every two weeks rather than every four.  That was a huge sign to me that it's getting closer and closer.

Below is a picture of my baby bump at 24 weeks while in Chicago.

  1. So glad you two enjoyed your trip!

Put the glucose drink in the fridge... it helps! I actually don't think its *too* bad, just a severely concentrated flat orange pop... I hate needles, so I dread the blood draw more :-\
